Norma Huizar strongly believes in the ability to collaborate to move forward, be that a business, an idea or any type of change. In her most recent position as Chief of Staff for Detroit City Council Member Castaneda- Lopez, she managed office budget, conducted policy analysis, served as liaison to community organizations, internal departments, quasi-City agencies (i..e. Detroit Land Bank and Detroit Economic Growth Corporation), developers and a variety of other agencies.
Ms. Huizar has worked in a myriad of business sectors ranging from private to non-profit including the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Los Angeles Branch where she provided San Francisco District Cash Operations, Management and Officers with technical and analytical support. She forecasted and analyzed trends related to coin and currency receipts and payments.
Throughout her career Ms. Huizar has expertly connected people and resources to resolve situations/issues/problems. Ms. Huizar received her Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College and a Master in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
